Uncertainty is a breeding ground for anxiety- anxiety out of control can cause severe dysfunction, severe stress and a generalized sense of being overwhelmed.

These feelings can ‘attack’ adults and children. Worst of all Anxiety unchecked causes many people to miss out on living and life and this can lead to other emotional difficulties like sever anger, agitation, depression etc.

All is not lost here are some ideas for you to try to gain mastery over uncertainty;

Some of the biggest enemies of anxiety are establishing control, building flexibility and adaptability.

So let’s talk a little about establishing a sense of control : I must control the things I can and surrender those things I cant.

In my control:

My attitude

My choices

How much news and social media I watch

Wearing a mask

Social distancing washing my hands

Doing some fun stuff

Planning a time table

Fitting fun stuff into my day

Doing some physical activity

Planning some quite time for prayer, meditation, just being still

What I eat, what I watch, what I listen too etc.

Things I can’t control:

Predicting what will happen

What other people think or want

What other say or do

How long this will last

Other people’s opinions
